The Orchestra of the Pines is the flagship orchestral ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University. Founded more than 20 years ago, the orchestra performs music from the classical repertoire as well as contemporary music of living composers.

Under the direction of Gene H. Moon, director of orchestral activities at SFA, the orchestra performs at least four standard concerts each year and partners with various areas of the College of Fine Arts to present the annual opera production and choral Masterworks concerts.

Box Office Season tickets are $45 for adults, $36 for seniors and $15 for students. Single performance tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $5 for students.

The Orchestra Series is sponsored in part by Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and the Wedgeworth-Wright Endowment for the Arts.
